Anne Celeste Heche - an American actress who starred in diverse genres of cinema as well as theatre and television was an incredibly well-known American. Anne Lockhart, born Anne Kathleen Maloney in September 1953, is an American actress. The actress is the daughter and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart was very young when she began her acting career. A popular rumor is that Anne turned down the role of Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's 1978 thriller Halloween which was later cast for Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter claims that Anne declined his invitation to be Laurie Strode. Anne doesn't remember John Carpenter contacting her or offering the part. It's possible that one of her agents declined it for her reasons without informing her. She was initially chosen to play the role by Glen Larson who sent her an extremely preliminary script to play a role in the 1978 television series Battlestar Galactica. Initially, she rejected the character because it seemed too weak. Glen was able to write a stronger part with Sheba. After reading the first 25 pages of the script The Living Legend she accepted immediately. The show ran for one season. She co-starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) as well as co-starred alongside Michael Moriarty in the horror movie The Dark Tower (1987).
